Take Flight,
Connecting People Around the World

An exhibition in Chicago’s Museum of Science + Industry examining the societal impact and technology of the airline industry, and the cultural legacy of the first mass-market jet airliner, the Boeing 727.

Assignment

Design two interactives inside the Boeing 747 in an era-appropriate style that reflects how it looked on its first flights in 1964.

Story Stations

Located inside the interior of a Boeing 727, visitors can discover the science behind air travel and possible side effects of flight, like jet lag and dehydration, and ways to manage them.

Air Marshaller Activity

This activity marries digital and physical. Visitors observe and mimic an animated Air Marshaller as she guides aircraft (batons in hand) in and out of passenger loading zones and taxiways.
